A privilege to work with such horses!

THIS beautiful photo by Chase Liebenberg is of Saturday’s G1 Queen’s Plate winner Jet Dark, a smart three-year-old, fast up-and-coming, getting a splashdown after the big race.

I was discussing big race winners with Jason May, the pre-trainer from Drakenstein Stud, and we are proud to have had so many good horses pass through our hands.

Jet Dark was broken in at Drakenstein by myself and the excellent Drakenstein team, he must have been a quiet type because we can’t recall that he gave us any headaches.

I also had a hand in working with Paddock Stakes winner Queen Supreme at the starting stalls, and broke in Real Gone Kid at Ridgemont/Highlands.

It is a rare privilege indeed to be working with such maginficent horses, and I am thankful to my clients and co-workers.
